บริษัทให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาศักยภาพนักศึกษา และการสร้างโอกาสในการเข้าสู่ตลาดแรงงาน โดยมุ่งสนับสนุนให้นักศึกษาและผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาได้รับประสบการณ์ที่จำเป็นต่อการประกอบอาชีพ เพื่อเชื่อมโยงการศึกษากับโลกการทำงาน และมีส่วนช่วยลดอุปสรรคด้านทักษะและประสบการณ์ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยหนึ่งของการว่างงานในกลุ่มเยาวชน ในแต่ละปีบริษัทฯเปิดรับนักศึกษาฝึกงานไม่น้อยกว่า 10% ของพนักงานประจำ โดยจัดหาที่พักและค่าตอบแทนในระหว่าการฝึกงานในอัตราที่เหมาะสมกับการครองชีพในพื้นที่การฝึกงาน แนวทางของโครงการมุ่งส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ผ่านการปฏิบัติงานจริง ทั้งการฝึกงาน สหกิจศึกษา การฝึกทักษะอาชีพ และการเตรียมความพร้อมเข้าสู่การทำงานสำหรับผู้สำเร็จการศึกษา โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้ประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ พัฒนาทักษะวิชาชีพ และเรียนรู้บทบาทหน้าที่ในสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานขององค์กร การถ่ายทอดความรู้จากพนักงานและระบบพี่เลี้ยงเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของการพัฒนา โดยสนับสนุนการสอนงาน การให้คำปรึกษา และข้อเสนอแนะที่ช่วยให้ผู้เข้าร่วมเรียนรู้และพัฒนาตนเอง ควบคู่กับการเสริมสร้างทักษะการสื่อสาร การทำงานเป็นทีม การแก้ไขปัญหา และความรับผิดชอบ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญสำหรับการทำงานในหลากหลายสายอาชีพ หนึ่งในตัวอย่างคือการเข้าปฏิบัติงานสหกิจศึกษาของนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมสิ่งแวดล้อม คณะพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา จำนวน 2 คน ซึ่งได้เรียนรู้งานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและระบบสาธารณูปโภคของนิคมอุตสาหกรรมปิ่นทอง ผ่านภารกิจที่เชื่อมโยงกับสาขาวิชาที่ศึกษานักศึกษาได้มีส่วนร่วมในงานหลากหลาย ทั้งการจัดทำแบบจำลองสามมิติของระบบบำบัดน้ำเสีย การเขียนแผนผังระบบท่อและเครื่องมือวัดของระบบประปา การลงพื้นที่เก็บตัวอย่างน้ำทิ้งจากโรงงาน และการวิเคราะห์ตัวอย่างน้ำในห้องปฏิบัติการ รวมถึงการเข้าร่วมติดตามตรวจสอบผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม ประสบการณ์เหล่านี้ช่วยให้นักศึกษาเข้าใจขั้นตอนการทำงาน เห็นความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างทฤษฎีกับการปฏิบัติ และฝึกแก้ไขปัญหาจากสถานการณ์จริง พี่เลี้ยงจากบริษัทมีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ โดยช่วยอธิบายกระบวนการทำงาน ให้คำแนะนำในการปฏิบัติ และถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์จากหน้างาน การได้ทำงานร่วมกับพี่เลี้ยงและทีมงานจึงเป็นโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้ฝึกทักษะวิชาชีพควบคู่กับการสื่อสาร การทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น และความรับผิดชอบต่องานที่ได้รับมอบหมาย นอกจากนี้ นักศึกษายังได้นำความรู้มาต่อยอดเป็นโครงงานศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการใช้ระบบบึงประดิษฐ์ชนิดแปลงพืชลอยน้ำ เพื่อลดธาตุอาหารในระบบบำบัดขั้นหลังของนิคมอุตสาหกรรมปิ่นทอง จังหวัดชลบุรี โดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากพื้นที่จริง วิเคราะห์คุณภาพน้ำ พิจารณาแนวทางการออกแบบ และประเมินความคุ้มค่าของทางเลือก โครงงานนี้เป็นตัวอย่างของการฝึกคิดอย่างเป็นระบบและจัดทำข้อเสนอด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมจากโจทย์การทำงานจริง การสนับสนุนสหกิจศึกษาจึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการสร้างโอกาสให้คนรุ่นใหม่ได้พัฒนาทั้งความรู้และทักษะการทำงาน โดยอาศัยประสบการณ์ของพี่เลี้ยงเป็นแรงสนับสนุน ให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้จากการลงมือทำ เข้าใจบทบาทของตนเองในทีม และมีพื้นฐานที่พร้อมสำหรับการเติบโตในสายอาชีพต่อไป Student Potential Development Program The Company places importance on developing students’ potential and creating opportunities for them to enter the workforce. It supports students and recent graduates in gaining the experience needed for their careers, helping bridge the gap between education and the world of work. This approach also helps address gaps in skills and experience, which are among the factors contributing to youth unemployment. Each year, the Company accepts interns equivalent to at least 10% of its permanent workforce and provides accommodation and compensation appropriate to the cost of living in the area where they undertake their internships. The program promotes learning through practical work experience, including internships, cooperative education, vocational skills training, and career preparation for graduates. Participants have opportunities to apply their knowledge, develop professional skills, and understand their roles and responsibilities in an organizational setting. Knowledge sharing by employees and a mentoring system are central to the program. Through on-the-job guidance, advice, and feedback, participants are supported in their learning and personal development. They also strengthen their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and sense of responsibility—skills that provide a foundation for a wide range of careers. One example is the cooperative education placement of two Environmental Engineering students from the School of Energy and Environment, University of Phayao. They gained experience in environmental management and utility systems at Pinthong Industrial Estate through assignments related to their field of study. Their work included creating a three-dimensional model of a wastewater treatment system, preparing a piping and instrumentation diagram for the water supply system, collecting wastewater samples from factories, and analyzing water samples in a laboratory. They also participated in environmental impact monitoring. These experiences helped them understand work processes, connect theory with practice, and develop problem-solving skills in real-world situations. Company mentors played an important role in supporting their learning. They explained work processes, provided practical guidance, and shared experience from the field. Working alongside mentors and other team members gave the students opportunities to develop professional skills as well as communication, collaboration, and accountability for their assigned tasks. The students also applied their knowledge to a feasibility study on using a floating treatment wetland to reduce nutrients in the post-treatment stage of the wastewater treatment system at Pinthong Industrial Estate in Chonburi Province. They gathered information from the site, analyzed water quality, considered design options, and assessed the cost-effectiveness of potential solutions. The project demonstrates how students can practice systematic thinking and develop environmental proposals in response to a real operational challenge. Supporting cooperative education is part of the Company’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people to develop their knowledge and workplace skills. With guidance from experienced mentors, students learn by doing, understand their roles within a team, and build a foundation for future career growth.
