This covers identifying community potential, developing occupational and business management skills, designing and enhancing products, creating added value from waste materials generated by factories, as well as creating market opportunities and building collaborative networks among the industrial estate, factory operators, government agencies, the education sector, and communities. These operations connect the strengths of the industrial sector with the potential of communities in order to create shared value and benefits for all parties. Communities have opportunities to develop skills, create occupations, and earn stable incomes, while factories can participate in social development, use resources efficiently, and strengthen good relationships with surrounding communities. PIN GROW TOGETHER is therefore directly aligned with SDGs IE. 8: Enhancing Quality of Life within and outside the Area and Promoting Decent Work and Economic Growth, as it helps transform the role of communities from “recipients of support” to “entrepreneurs who are able to become self-reliant.” It creates opportunities for women, older persons, vulnerable groups and disadvantaged workers to participate in the economic system, while also concretely connecting the community economy with the value chain of the industrial sector. The ECO Lady Eco-Conscious Women’s Community Enterprise is a concrete example of the results of the Company’s operations. As a result of the Company’s efforts to support the group, members have been able to develop their handicraft skills into occupations and generate supplementary income for their families. Members earn an average income of approximately THB 3,500–6,000 per person per month, with income distributed to members across more than 30 households, particularly vulnerable groups or disadvantaged workers within the community. These include female members who have responsibilities for caring for family members, such as bedridden patients, older persons, or children, which prevents them from taking up regular employment, as well as older members and those who face limitations in working outside the industrial estate area. The Company also supports product development, cost calculation, pricing, quality control, and connections to distribution channels. This has enabled the group to develop more than 20 product designs based on acquired knowledge, while income from the developed products has increased by approximately 20%. In addition, the group has established more than 30 business partners and market channels, both within and outside the industrial estate. According to the Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessment, the project generated THB 490,455.28 in economic outcome value, accounting for 57.2% of the total outcome value. This demonstrates that skills development and market connectivity can transform handicraft activities into income-generating opportunities and provide a foundation for community enterprises with genuine potential for growth.
